PROJECT CONCEPT

PROJECT STORY

CONTEXT

The Swisscom headquarter in Worblaufen is located within a dense infrastructural setting shaped by railway lines, major roads, and public transport connections. Embedded between residential neighborhoods and transport infrastructure, the existing building complex is defined by a strong grid structure, clear circulation axes, and a sequence of green inner courtyards. Swisscom’s corporate values form the basis for rethinking the existing structure, transforming it into a flexible and futureoriented workplace environment.

CONCEPT

The project reimagines the headquarter as an open and adaptable workplace campus based on Swisscom’s 3-zone model: Connect, Collaborate, Concentrate. Existing spatial qualities are strengthened and reorganized to create a clear hierarchy of focus areas, collaborative zones, and social spaces. The grid and courtyard structure provide a robust framework that allows new uses to be integrated while preserving the architectural clarity of the complex.

CONTENT

A diverse range of work environments is introduced, ranging from quiet focus areas to collaborative hubs and social spaces. The inner courtyards are activated as thematic landscape rooms that enhance orientation, identity, and well-being. A central boulevard and shared core bundle key functions and encourage interaction across departments, transforming the headquarters into a flexible, human-centered workplace aligned with Swisscom’s values.
